Beavers

Learning to build and drive remote controlled robots

Beaver Scouts are the youngest section in the Purton & Lydiard group and is the section where most children start their Scouting journey.

The group meets on Monday nights during term time at Lydiard Millicent Primary School. Sessions normally run from 6:15 – 7:15pm.

Beavers costs £20 per month, payable in advance by Direct Debit.

Children can start Beavers from around their sixth birthday and will remain with the group until they are around eight, at which point they can move up to the Cub group.

Support

The Beaver colony is supported by a fantastic team of parent volunteers who give their time to make sure the sessions are fun and interesting. If this sounds like something you might like to do, please get in touch – we’re always looking for new volunteers to help keep the group running. Have a look at our volunteering section and either get in touch with one of the leaders or send us an email via our contact form.

“I’ve loved (almost) every minute of my time leading the Beaver group. No two sessions are ever the same and it’s often the highlight of my week.”

Anyone can join – well, almost anyone…

Our group is very popular and often has a bit of a waiting list so it’s good to get in early. If you would like to join, please fill in the joining form and someone will get back to you as soon as they can.
